Terms of service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, signing in, or using the ET4D platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all account types, including farmers, stakeholders, consumers, and administrators.
2. Platform purpose
ET4D supports project communication, farm environmental data visualization, alerts, surveys, community feedback, and research-oriented scenario exploration. The platform is not a substitute for veterinary, legal, financial, safety, or operational farm-management advice.
3. Accounts and approval
- You must provide accurate registration and profile information.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- Farmer and stakeholder access may require administrator approval before role-specific features become available.
- Administrators may update account status, assigned farms, roles, and permissions when needed to operate the platform.
- You must notify the platform operator if you suspect unauthorized access or incorrect account assignments.
4. Permitted use
- View dashboards, alerts, surveys, communications, and exports available to your role.
- Manage farm profile and privacy settings where your account has permission.
- Send messages, submit contact requests, and contribute feedback, comments, likes, or dislikes through the provided platform features.
- Use data-analysis and model features for scenario exploration and project discussion.
5. Prohibited use
- Do not attempt to access accounts, farms, devices, messages, exports, backups, or admin tools without authorization.
- Do not upload, submit, or share unlawful, misleading, abusive, or harmful content.
- Do not interfere with platform security, availability, data ingestion, dashboards, alerts, or backups.
- Do not use exported data in a way that violates another user's privacy, farm confidentiality, or project obligations.
- Do not rely on model outputs or alerts as the only basis for animal-health, safety, financial, or operational decisions.
6. User content and communication
Messages, contact-form submissions, feedback, comments, likes, dislikes, and similar contributions remain associated with the account that created them. You are responsible for content you submit. Administrators may review, moderate, edit, hide, or remove content where needed for support, security, moderation, legal compliance, or project administration.
7. Farm, device, and privacy data
- Farmers and authorized users are responsible for the accuracy of farm, device, contact, and privacy settings they provide.
- You must only upload, connect, or manage farm and device data where you have authority to do so.
- Privacy controls affect how farm labels, country, device names, contact details, and descriptions appear in public, stakeholder, farmer, and administrative views.
- Administrators may still need access to real records for account management, troubleshooting, backups, security, and project operation.
8. Exports, backups, and deletion
Export tools are provided for authorized users. Database backups may include the full platform state at the time of backup, including users, roles, farm links, privacy settings, messages, comments, likes, dislikes, activity records, device data, and configuration. Account deletion or data correction requests are handled according to the Privacy Policy and may be limited by backup, audit, security, legal, or project-retention requirements.
9. Model outputs and alerts
Dashboards, threshold alerts, and data-analysis predictions may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or based on assumptions. Research-model outputs are intended for scenario exploration and sensitivity analysis only. Users must independently verify important results before making farm-management, animal-health, safety, or commercial decisions.
10. Service availability and changes
ET4D is provided on a best-effort basis. Maintenance, deployments, data-ingestion issues, server incidents, third-party outages, or research changes may affect availability or functionality. Features may be updated, limited, or removed when needed for security, reliability, project scope, or legal compliance.
11. Suspension and termination
Administrators may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security or privacy risks, misuse data, or are no longer eligible for access. You may request account deletion through the available support or contact channels.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The platform is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, ET4D disclaims warranties of uninterrupted service, error-free operation, scientific fitness for a specific farm, or suitability for professional advice. ET4D is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or data-derived losses resulting from platform use or unavailability.
13. Changes to these terms
ET4D may update these Terms of Service when the platform, project requirements, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or other appropriate channels. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact
For questions about these Terms of Service, use the Contact page or, for registered users, the internal communication tools.
